Since this website is just a simple URL shortener, we still need to apply strict rules to help keep the website in tip-top shape. Here are a list of our rules:

• Do not use min.bz to shorten links to malicious or infected websites: Viruses are created by humans and illegal. We don't want to be the cause of users ending up having to reinstall their operating system because a shortened link looked promising. We do our best to remove URLs that may or will link to malicious websites.
• Do not use min.bz to shorten links containing adult material: This website is used by all ages and anyone can just click on a min.bz link. Again, we don't want to be held responsible for underaged children accessing 18+ websites through our service.
• Shortening links that link to pirating/hacks/child pornography is strictly forbidden: And not only is it illegal, we will take action again the link(s) you have shortened.
• Do not use for commercial use, spam emails, SMS etc: No one likes spam, and who's paying you to spam innocent people anyway?
• Do not use min.bz to sell your "get rich" schemes: These kind of links lead to more spam, possibly to a virus that could steal personal information that leads to bank accounts. We don't want to feel responsible or guilty for allowing these links to happen so they will be removed as quickly as possible once discovered.
• Do not use min.bz to link to other URL shortening links: This method is commonly used to skip through multiple links and most of the time, the user is unaware what those links are. So we do not allow this to reduce the risk of viruses or infections spreading to computers.
• Links that are breaking these terms will be filtered: With our brains, we managed to create a URL blacklisting method that scans for the URL in our database. If it exists in the blacklist, we prevent it from being shortened.
• Please give us a message if you're confused: Terms of Services can be plain boring to read. We tried to make ours as simple as possible but if you are still unsure or confused about our terms, please don't be afraid to e-mail us at admin@min.bz.

People are often concerned about what information is stored about them. Here at min.bz, the only thing we store in our servers is your public IP address, which we encrypt so that even we can't find out what the IP address is. As you may have noticed, we do use Google's Adsense Program to display adverts on our website to help pay for the domain, server and bandwidth. API System

On min.bz, we have a very simple API system for everyone to use. Sending a GET request to http://min.bz/?url=YOUR_URL_HERE will generate a min.bz link for you and send it back as a JSON array, so you can simply use the json decoder to retrieve the URL. We are working on making it useful for XML users too! This API is great for people who have blogs, forums, social networks etc.
